Part of my frustration with this series may well be put down to the awful voice actor in the audiobooks, but it still has many plot holes. (And eye-rolls) When it wasn't confusing, it was just plain sad. Tragedy works best when it sparks forward movement - otherwise it just feels like emotional manipulation.
