The Anatomy of Songs by Megan White
Poetic, gruesome, dark. The story is full of twists - but there is so much which is implied that it's hard to read between the lines! (To my mind, this also trivialises some of the violence against women.) I got more attached to the characters than I was expecting, and actually I wouldn't mind a sequel!
