A Study in Drowning by Ava Reid

Haunting, scary, hopeful, lyrical. It's a beautiful book, but not for the faint-hearted! There are strong themes of sexism and abuse, but there are also brilliant rays of light (mainly in the form of Preson) which cut through our heroine's fear and paranoia.
P.S. Some interesting similarities with Divine Rivals. Apparently, the authors are friends.
Warning: sexism, references to sexual abuse, gothic horror
