Dawn of a Legend by R K Lander
The plot widens and begins to set up for the second arc of the series. Some points are a little cliché, but I've come to care for the characters and appreciate their nuances. (I'm glad he's not invincible, but the number of times Fel’annár has been rushed to healers is slightly comical.)
