It was fun to see the other side of the story - and the backstory - behind Callie and Des. We skip through key moments in The Bargainer's life and discover his thoughts and origins. It's pretty soppy, but that didn't annoy me too much. 

(The warnings make it sound like a depraved book, but it's really not)
