I'll go straight ahead and say it - the sex to plot ratio is a disaster. This is no longer the story of Thea, but the sex life of Thea and Wilder. It's a bit of a farce, and the language repetition could easily be made into a drinking game. Other than that, I was a little surprised at the turn the story took. It made me wonder if there was a prequel I missed.
